It is a state-owned enterprise with controlling shares in China National Salt Industry Corporation and participating shares in Anhui Salt Industry General Corporation and Dingyuan Salt Mine in Anhui Province. It is the only national designated production enterprise of salt in Anhui Province and one of the export bases of salt in China.It is a "Provincial Civilized Unit" and a national-level enterprise of "highlighting contracts and keeping promises". The company abounds with the resource of rock salt whose reserves exceed 2 billion tons. The weighted average grade of sodium chloride is 72.3%. It is recognized as a premium mine with "rich resources, concentrated ore body, shallow burial, and easy exploitation". The project at the first phase in the company was approved by the Ministry of Light Industry in February, 1987, and it is a key project in Anhui Province during the period of Seventh Five-year Plan.
